Yusra Mardini’s bittersweet announcement

In her latest Instagram post, Yusra Mardini announced her retirement from the sport. She then expressed her sincere gratitude toward her beloved arena that has been her sanctuary for the past eight years. Swimming had given her stability, strength, and life lessons, teaching her discipline. She penned, “Swimming has been my home away from home for the past 8 years, but the time has come to step away and move on to the next chapter”.
