US Olympic Star Caeleb Dressel Loves Tattoos- What Do They Mean?

Tattoos have become a hallmark in the 21st century. While it is a fashion statement for some, tattoos sometimes hold a deeper meaning and significance for others. In fact, many entities and athletes are famously recognized by their tattoos. One such entity is Caeleb Dressel. Not only is he the best swimmer in the world right now, but his tattoos are also out of this world.

Notably, Caleb has 5 tattoos. While his impressive physique and aesthetic style inside the pool often have fans in awe, they wonder, what do his tattoos mean?

Caeleb Dressel loves tattoos

The first tattoo would be the gator tattoo on his left forearm. He dedicated this ink to the University of Florida that had an emblem of a gator since the 1900s.

The second one is placed on his left shoulder. It is an eagle tattoo with the flag of America. While the Eagle signifies focus and courage, the flag of America represents his love for his country.

Notably, artist James Cumberland has done most of his tattoos.

The third ink is a bear on his left arm. It depicts an aggressive bear that matches his personality and persona when in the pool. In an interview, he spoke about the tattoo and how he resonates with it.

“I’ve been searching for the perfect spirit animal that captures my soul, And the eagle just wasn’t that,” said Dressel.

A new tattoo on the cards

The fourth one represents all that he is. The Olympic Rings tattoo on his right upper arm signifies a sign of great reward. Lastly, his 5th tattoo is the American flag on his left forearm. This tattoo once again shows his love for his country and is perfectly inked by his usual tattoo artist, James Cumberland.

Notably, his last tattoo stretches all over his left leg. It took 14 hours to complete the outline as it includes different plant designs like flowers and cactus. Even though the ink is yet to complete, the tattoo is turning out to be a promising one.
