After the era of Michael Phelps, fans wondered who can replace him. Sadly, no one can! But, Caeleb Dressel arrived at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to claim five gold medals; besides setting a world record in the 100-butterfly event. Although both are dominant swimmers inside the pool, one thing that separates Dressel and Phelps is their physical attributes.

His start from the blocks is one of the best, and he receives a significant advantage over other swimmers at the start. Thus, in a recent Instagram video, he shows off his Greek-like body while snatching some weights in the gym.

In an Instagram video, he is seen snatching 100 kilograms or 220 pounds. That’s not a lift that regular people can expect can fathom. Building muscle can help swimmers to generate force while doing different strokes. Likewise, it can also prevent major injuries. With the increase of repetitive motions, swimming can cause injuries. But, developing muscles can target underdeveloped muscles and relieve those muscles which are stressed inside the water. Having stronger muscles can help swimmers to reduce tension on joints and tendons. Working out on strength can also have advantages on biomechanics like coordination, balance, and stability. Thus, Dressel’s workouts are incredible to watch.
