However, the silver medal victory of Elana Meyers Taylor is inspiring. She won it for her signature Monobob event as she struggled through adversities to fetch the silver medal. A happy Taylor had her son Nico’s sticker on her shoes. Former legendary tennis player Billie Jean King congratulated her on her performance.

Likewise, she was selected to be Team USA’s flag-bearer for the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, along with John Shuster. But she tested positive and had to relinquish that position to speed skater, Brittany Bowe.

A great achievement, nonetheless, she spoke after her victory.

“Two days ago, I said to my coach Brian Shimer, I sat on one of the containers and said, ‘I don’t even know if I should do this right now’. I was really questioning whether I should come out. Thanks to my team. Thanks to everybody. They lifted me up and they lifted me up to silver medal,” said Taylor.
