The sensational Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive. Lowering the pace set by sprinters every year, Bolt dominated the 100-meter races for years. He is the current world record holder in the 100 and 200-meter competitions. Due to this, several athletes challenged him to a race, while some claimed to beat him. One such athlete was David Haye. Scheduled with Tyson Fury, the fight never took place, but the promo leading to it was incredible.

In Haye’s words, he believed he could beat Bolt in a race, and what followed was a hilarious exchange. When Haye spoke about defeating Bolt, Fury claimed otherwise. Instead, he spoke about defeating Haye in their upcoming match rather than bringing Bolt into the conversation. The two superstars went at each other and it was surely an entertaining duel.

Haye believed he could beat Usain Bolt

With just one lose in a 100-meter competition from 2008 to 2016, Bolt is a legend of the sport. Hence, challenging him to a 100-meter sprint may not be a great idea. Haye spoke about believing in himself and stating how he could defeat Bolt. “I can beat Usain Bolt in 100-meters.” To these claims, Fury responded, “But you can’t.” Haye, in disbelief, stated why Fury couldn’t believe he could beat Bolt.

“Why not? How can’t I? Because I believe I can do it, I believe I can do it,” questioned Haye. The aura of Bolt spreads everywhere and Fury rejected his claims. “Because it is disbelief.”

Beating Bolt is not an easy task and NFL star Tyreek Hill has been itching to race against him. With that on the side, Fury explained how he couldn’t beat Bolt, but claimed he would beat Haye in a fight. “So you can beat Usain Bolt as well, yeah?” questioned Haye. “No, I can beat you though. I don’t need to beat Usain Bolt, do I?” responded Fury to Haye’s questions regarding his belief.

Challenging Bolt is not a great option for any athlete. Of course, he’s not in his prime. But, at his peak, the sprinting legend from Jamaica was way ahead than the rest. He set a time of 9.58 seconds in the 100-meter and set 19.19 in the 200-meter race. The second fastest time comes after 10 seconds in the 100-meter. Talk about pure dominance.

The banter between both these athletes was a treat to watch. Although the fight did not happen as planned, the exchange between these two boxers was eye-opening. To sum up, if it was a punching contest, Bolt had no chance.
