’Can’t Really Go Wrong With It”: US Track Gabby Thomas Ditches $2936.23B Company for Another Brand of Fitness

In a Twitter conversation that captivated audiences, track athlete Gabby Thomas made headlines. She recently shared her response to former NBA star Marvellous I., Esq.’s query about a better fitness tracking brand. This intriguing exchange shed light on Thomas’ decision to overlook multi-billion dollar company Apple, valued at $2.9 trillion, in favor of embracing a new brand in the fitness industry.

In a 2021 podcast, she mentioned that she was one of the first individuals to try out ‘Whoop’ as a beta tester in the year 2015. Now, her latest tweet has shed light on her response and demonstrated the advantages of Gabby’s preferred fitness tracker.

On June 29th at 7:05 PM, Marvellous I., Esq, turned to Twitter seeking suggestions for fitness & sleep tracking, listing three options in a poll: Apple, Oura Ring, and Whoop. Among the responses, the 26-year-old track and field athlete shared her insights & recommended the brand Whoop. She credits her college track coach’s passion for WHOOP for instilling in her the importance of focusing on recovery and self-care. Additionally, according to Gabby, without her coach and the introduction of WHOOP, she might not have developed such a strong consciousness about taking care of herself.

Gabby Thomas articulated her preference for Whoop over the tech giant Apple, known for its popularity and reliability in the health and fitness tracking domain. Thomas stated, “Whoop is great for both – measuring lots of details and personalized tracking of patterns. I would say with its costs and features, it’s more for people who are very serious about optimizing performance.”

Thomas has been vocal about her goal to secure a spot on the world championship team and win a medal at the event.  Gabby Thomas’ fitness goals align closely with her athletic aspirations.
