Former Nebraska Huskers volleyball star Jordan Larson has taken on a new role as a full-time assistant coach for the University of Nebraska’s volleyball program. With the Nebraska Huskers’ Volleyball team going strong on and off the field, Larson has all the ways heading high. She is on to the new role, where every serve and spike counts. Maintaining a harmonious life balance can often be as challenging as a five-set thriller.

In addition to their on-court victories, the team also made history off the court. They set a new Women’s Sporting Event World Record at Memorial Stadium during a match against Omaha, which was part of Volleyball Day in Nebraska. Being a part of the team, in a different role, for some time, Larson recently opened up about her thoughts on the team.

This announcement of Larson’s new position was made by head coach John Cook on June 13, 2023. On a sow on Huskers Radio Network, Host Jessica Coody had asked Larson, “Is there something that you’ve learned now that you’ve been embedded with this team over this last month or so that you didn’t know that you’ve learned about them?” To this, Jordan replied that seriousness for training and fun should go hand-in-hand and there lies a fine balance between the two

Jordan said, “I think there is this like fine balance between like they all want to be really good like they are striving for excellence every day… and I think celebrating those small victories and those small joys, and I think you can get so caught up in the seriousness of it. And don’t get me wrong, I’m one of those.”
