Julia Marino makes a sensational comeback
The 2018 Olympics saw her finishing 11th in slopestyle while ending her big air competition ranking 10th. Hence, it turned out to be a forgetful disappointment.
This year, coming onto her first run, she suffered a crash that may have led to her hopes of winning a medal, down the drain. Opening the pages of the Shaun White book of tricks, she recovered well during her second run and scored a total of 87.68. Hence, this gave her the medal.

“It’s a run I’ve been wanting to put down for a long time and you know this season didn’t necessarily get to put that one down and to do it here just means a whole lot different than anything else,” said Marino.
What a performance!
While she took the silver medal, New Zealand made history as well. Their first gold medal, in any event, saw the 20-year-old, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott put a sensational performance to claim her first gold. She took the medal from Marino’s hands with a delightful 92.88 in her third run. To say the least, it became a sight to watch the outstanding Zoi win her first medal for her nation.
