YouTube sensation Logan Paul made an iconic return to the ring during the 2023 Royal Rumble. Paul left the audience stunned with his surprise appearance at the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He had been away from the ring for nearly three months after tearing his ACL and MCL during a match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he pulled off an insane spot with pro wrestler Ricochet. The impact of the jaw-dropping stunt didn’t stay confined to the wrestling world but rippled through the bodybuilding arena as well. Amazed by the act, bodybuilding legend Flex Wheeler shared his reaction.

On 2nd April 2023, Flex Wheeler posted a story featuring Paul and Ricochet. Originally shared by a meme page, the video captured the mid-air clash between the two. It started with the two standing on opposite sides of the ring, facing each other. Paul could be heard shouting “let’s go!” hinting that the duo had put a plan into action. But what they did next, had everyone’s jaw on the floor.

Standing on the ropes of the ring, the duo leaped towards each other. Smashing against each other in mid-air, they fell to the ground following a loud bang. Thrilled by the scene, the commentator shouted, “Oh my God! What a collision.” It was followed by a high-pitched “What the hell just happened?” Sharing the video on his Instagram profile, veteran bodybuilder Flex Wheeler wrote, “‘Staged,’ not fake’, subtly hinting at the misconception about the wrestling world.

More often than not it is believed that everything that happens in the ring is staged and fake. However, Wheeler pointed out that though it might be staged or pre-discussed, just like this collision the punches and injuries are not fake. Additionally, Logan Paul too shared a video of the moment on his profile.

No one had expected Paul to return to wrestling this early. His return, however, was no short of iconic. Making his debut as a surprise 29th entrant at the Royal Rumble 2023 in January, Logan Paul seemed unbothered about making another clash. The stunt with Ricochet had the crowd roaring with excitement. Proud of his move, Logan Paul took to his Instagram to share a video of the same. Adding a two-word caption, he wrote, “I’M Back.” Fans took to the comments section to praise his performance. Some even went as far as comparing him to the iconic character, Wolverine.
