People around the world are now waiting for the winner of the Stanley Cup. While the stakes are high for the NHL teams, the Dallas Stars made an adorable addition to this week’s roster. They decided to sign a two-day contract with a 9-year-old boy named Max Hinojosa. Notably, he battled Myelomonocytic Leukemia and have an enlarged spleen. However, this didn’t stop max to actualize his dream. Being a die-hard ice hockey fan, Max wanted to participate but couldn’t do it because of his health issues. However, he made a wish and it came true!

Evidently, Dallas manager Jim Nill collaborated with Make-A-Wish North Texas and added Hinojosa to their team for two days. This gesture from the team’s end created madness among the fans and they flocked to the comment section of the Facebook post to share their thoughts. Let’s find out what they expressed.

Fans reacted to the hockey team’s kind gesture

Although his post-disease weakness restricted him from doing certain things, Max dreamt big! Being a crazy fan of the sport, the little boy crossed the boundaries when he desired to participate. It was on last April when he came to know that he will join the Dallas Stars in a game. Not only that, he will get the chance to don the #13 jersey that is his year of birth and has his initials, ‘M’, written on it. Coincidentally, ‘M’ is also the 13th letter of the alphabet. Max will even make an appearance with the team during their pregame warmups.

The team’s official webpage recently announced the schedule of the game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Facebook. They made the post with a poster image of Max and captioned it with, “Max’s magical night 
“. To this, the fans couldn’t resist the excitement and commented their heart out on the partnership of Dallas with the Make-A-Wish campaign. To encourage little Max fans penned,

“Gooooo Max! And bravo Stars for signing him!”

“I, so excited to be at this game tonight. We will be cheering for Max for sure.”

While talking about his courage one fan wrote, “He’s not very big and will probably be crushed in his first shift but hope that he gets a win in his first game.” Another one thought the presence of the young one will create a positive vibe.
