Pepi wants to make his mark

He later revealed why he chose the USA over Mexico in a recent interview.

“I feel like the U.S, was trusting me and my game to be able to go out on that field and do the best I can. I feel like I was in a very good moment, and I could help other teams. That decision was made just talking to my parents, talking to my agent. I felt like it was the best decision I made,” said Pepi.

The decision proved to be an instant hit as he scored his first goal for USMNT against Honduras back on September 8th. He later went on to score two more goals against Jamaica in their second world cup qualifier.
