In an era of silly trends and race for content supremacy, a new and rather harmful one has emerged. As fans flocked, the Drai’s Beach club in Vegas to watch Grammy winning artist, Cardi B perform, they were in for a shocking surprise.

Spectators caught the unfortunate incident on camera when a fan hurled his drink towards Cardi B. Visibly angered by the stupid act, the rapper decided to give back in her own style.

The incident happened right while she performed her hit single, “Bodak Yellow”. The clip showed the moment the fan threw the drink as it left her shellshocked. With no second thoughts, the rapper instantly switched the microphone to her left hand and channeled her inner Randy Johnson as she threw it with all her might. Bouncers present at the scene escort the man outside of the venue as he tried to retaliate. She left the stage shortly afterwards.

This isn’t the first instance of artists being subjected to such incidents. The past few weeks brought to fore several similar incidents like these, highlighting the need for enhanced safety. In New York, a fan nearly knocked out Bebe Rexha by hurling a mobile at her head, and in Vienna, an unknown object struck Harry Styles.
