As the firefighters arrived on the scene, they saw a harrowing sight: a man in his 60s, unconscious, sprawled out on the treacherous trail. But before they could fully assess the situation, they paused to appreciate the bravery of a bystander. The man fearlessly took charge and was already administering CPR to the stricken hiker.
