Cheerleading is getting immense recognition these days, there are a lot of opportunities for young teens to make their names and prove themselves. The social media is filled with people appreciating the NFL and NBA cheerleaders. It hasn’t been a new thing, cheerleading is a part of the sports culture. NFL is the core for cheerleaders as these sports clearly validate them in every way possible.

Recently, there has been an announcement about the incoming University of Kentucky dance members into football and basketball. This crucial move provides a big stage for the cheerleaders to carve a place for themselves and support their dream teams.

This transfer of Kentucky cheerleaders will bring in a new aura into cheerleading. There are many names who are going into teams for the support. DaVanna Lockett and Marlee Scholten will start their season as cheerleaders with the Kansas City Chiefs. 

A basketball team and a soul team for LeBron, the Cleveland Cavaliers welcome Annie Walton. She had been a member of the Kentucky dance team from 2019 to 2023. Allison Broadhurst will be joining the Indianapolis Colts.

It is a well-known fact that cheerleaders are gaining a lot of off-the-court attention. This is all the effect of social media and the curiosity to know more. From time to time, cheerleaders upload social posts in support of the team.

Apart from all this, cheerleading is considered to be recognised at the Olympics. There are good times, but there are tough times as well. In a recent turn of events, a cheerleading team of five is trying their best to raise money for their performance.

Schuylkill Vally cheerleaders to raise 7000$ for travel at Citrus Bowl

After attaining the all-American cheerleading award, the team gets an invitation to perform at the Cheez-it Citrus Bowl. However, the event does not cover any travel expenses. The expense turns out to be 7000$ and these cheerleaders are trying their best to raise the money.

Choosing any profile is not easy. Every department comes with its own set of difficulties. But in the end, performing at these NFL and NBA games is the silver lining. It is hoped that the migration of these former University of  Kentucky dancers will motivate the cheerleading department in terms of exposure.
