What better way to celebrate the grand success of Team Jumbo-Visma as it concluded its stellar 2023 cycling season than at the fantasy-themed amusement park, Efteling in the Netherlands? A glimpse of the celebration at the World of Wonders has found its way to the Instagram account of the Danish cyclist, Jonas Vingegaard. The magical realm of Efleting where fairy tales and victories collided gave the competitive cycling event a momentary breather with an honorary gift for every participant. 

The 2023 cycling season has witnessed various remarkable wins totaling 69 as well as secured victories in three Grand Tours. Renowned cyclist like Vingegaard has been touched by this celebratory gesture that marked the culmination of this season.   

A season full of cycling triumphs celebrated in a unique manner

There has been a series of incredible accomplishments that defined the Jumbo-Visma 2023 season that in turn led to the celebratory event. The post that Vingegaard shared as a story in his own profile had been from the official account of Team Jumbo-Visma Cycling with the caption, “ What a way to celebrate our 2023 season @efteling. #colouringhistory ”. 

A moving embrace between cyclists Nathan Van Hooydonck and Wout van Aert has been a special moment out of many others since Hooydonck’s cycling journey took an unexpected turn owing to his cardiac arrest. Even after retiring, the moment of reunion between the two cyclists has been an emotional experience.

Later on, the speech that Vingegaard delivered resonated with pride and gratitude and acknowledged the collective efforts of the team soaring to success. Other key figures of the ceremony included Sepp Kuss, Merijn Zeeman and Richard Pugge who reinforced a sense of shared achievement and unity within the team. The program has been conducted by Team Jumbo-Visma Cycling in collaboration with Tissot, a luxury brand from Switzerland.
