Facing the impacts of a shattered pelvis, a broken foot, and even cracking his sternum, Pavitt also battled the consequences of broken ribs and a collapsed lung. While losing toes from his right foot marked the beginning of the football coach’s troubles, Pavitt recalled encountering multiple surgeries. Narrating the severe possibilities of his brutal conditions, the coaching professional elaborated on candid details, remarking, “I shouldn’t be walking”, as he continued, “It was tough times.”

Athletic trainer’ revival set in astonishing attempts 

Undeterred by these dreadful adversities, the football sensation exhibited boundless enthusiasm. Pushing through all odds as he claimed back his mobility, he rose from a wheelchair to a walking frame. Notably, Pavitt also exemplified his unwavering dedication, refusing to succumb to despair. More than a skilled goalsneak, his journey even included a remarkable stint at Montmorency Club in Victoria.

Admirably, even during the grueling recovery period, Pavitt’s love for football endured. Before his accident, the coach showcased his prowess at Port Douglas Crocs by clinching two premierships between 2019 and 2021. As a passionate Brisbane Lions fan, his heart belonged to the early ’00s dynasty team that found leadership in icons Michael Voss and Leigh Matthews. 

Attending football games and supporting his teammates despite the pain, Pavitt’s commitment underscored the welcoming atmosphere among his camp members.
