However, as the fervent fever goes high surrounding the Hawaii Bowl, Coastal Carolina’s head coach, Tim Beck has found himself in an unexpected spotlight.

A seemingly harmless shirtless photo of Beck with the school’s dancers made a fleeting appearance on social media. Even though the picture vanished shortly after, the light-hearted gesture took an unexpected turn leaving college football fans wondering about his puzzling social media move.

Football coach’s unfortunate social media post

The tweet appeared on Tim Beck’s profile and had been there for a short span. Although the original picture was swiftly removed, screenshots quickly circulated generating buzz among the college football followers. The much-talked-about picture has been posted on Twitter from the account “no context college football” which received more than 400K views.  

In the picture, Beck is seen shirtless posing in front of the sea with the Coastal Carolina mascot and the cheerleaders. However, within some time the tweet vanished from the football coach’s timeline further prompting the appropriateness of the post. With this, the position of his position within the athletic program of the university has been put into question.

As reported by The Spun, the original tweet was made from the official account of Coastal Football and only after 3 hours, it was deleted. The social media misstep surrounding 59-year-old Beck who himself has been a part of Pittsburg State has tarnished his legacy in football.
