As cheers of the stadium faded after the game, the All-American football player, David Evans found a new way to score big after the high school game. The athlete crafted a surprise proposal for his girlfriend on the field.

A touchdown moment by David Evans on the football field

It was like a regular day as Lakeview High School player, Evans took to the field doing his best to smash the opponent. The player who plays both the position of RB and MLB in the Boy’s Varsity Football Team had meticulously curated a plan of surprise for his girlfriend Arianna. The Instagram post was captioned “They had one job.”

The Instagram video shows that after the game Evans is posing for a picture with her girlfriend, with the latter having no premonition about what would follow. As they posed for the photograph, preparations were already going on in the background for an unforgettable surprise.  Right after clicking the photograph, the footballer handed his girlfriend a bouquet and gestured for her to turn around.

In an utterly perplexed state, Arianna turns around to see his friends holding placards with a message. However, the serious attempts to help their friend lead to comical predicaments as eventually the order of the message gets interchanged. Even though the message could not be deciphered, it was evident from Evans’ reaction of embarrassment his friends created chaos.

A proposal to remember sends a wave of laughter among fans

The comical twist to the otherwise responsible plan can be comprehended from the Instagram caption, that they eventually failed. On the video, the edit reads “L Friends” where the letter “L” probably stands for “Loser”. The unexpected turn of events left everyone in splits resulting in the video going viral.

The video posted just a day ago on Instagram has got more than 350,000 likes while fans shared their reactions in the comments section. Many sarcastically pointed out the proposal message that read “?OCOH” stating, “They football players. You know they can’t spell good.”, Another said, “These guys came through like someone paying you half the money they owed you.”

One commentator criticizing them said, “Even the O had one job shii was sideways ”. Others pointed out how friends can lead to awkwardness stating “Exactly what I’d expect from the homies that’s a win boys she laughed”, “It’ll make for a great memory regardless lol”.
