Football is never known to be a game where things would go in a very sophisticated manner. We have numerous instances of situations escalating inside the pitch and turning ugly. Today’s video makes us witness one such instance where a full-fledged brawl on the soccer pitch ended in a player suffering from seizures! 

As shocking as it sounds, the attacker too, could not fathom what exactly transpired with the athlete. In fact, the player who suffered from seizures at the end was the same person who initiated the fight in the first place. Soccer pitch MMA-like brawl ends bad for athlete

The video was uploaded by Fight Haven on Twitter, recently rebranded as X. In the thirty-three seconds long video, the scene opens with a backdrop of a soccer field. Several players are seen taking different drills in what appeared to be a practice session. However, soon, our attention was captured by a couple of athletes in the middle who had an aggressive attitude. 

One of the players, wearing a black t-shirt with black track pants was seen attacking another athlete. The other guy was wearing a grey hoodie along with black pants. He was also sporting white sports shoes. As he received several MMA-like kicks on his legs, the athlete wasted no time hitting back. In one swift move, he delivered a punch that led to the one in the black outfit getting knocked out on the ground.

Unfortunately, the incident didn’t end there. After falling to the ground, the athlete was seen having terrible seizures. He was shaking with his hands positioned abnormally. Such a scene freaked out the others and even the guy who punched him came to check. 

This harrowing video surely caught the attention of netizens and they gave their two cents on the matter. 

Online users express concern over the deadly face-off

The post captioned, “Guy has a full blown Seizure after getting Knocked 12 Years into the Future on the Football pitch…”, received more than 4.7 million views and more than 13k likes. The video has truly sent shockwaves down the spine of the netizens and the comment section was flooded with reactions.

One of the users commented that the guy who suffered from the medical condition should not have engaged in such an altercation, knowing his physical condition.

He added another comment wishing for his well-being.

Another user pointed out how the guys present in the field tried to save the guy from the seizure.

One fan shared his thoughts in the comment section and revealed that this is the reason behind his not engaging in any kind of fight.

Another user pointed out that one should not engage themselves in such violent situations in order to avoid such alarming consequences.

This incident reminds us of the most memorable instance when Neymar broke his back during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and Zidane’s infamous headbutt during the 2006 FIFA WC final that eventually cost France the title. Even though these incidents happened on the International level, plenty of such occurrences happen daily on much smaller levels too.
