“Wish We Could’ve Had More Babe”: Late Ice Hockey Player Adam Johnson’s Fiancée Shares Emotional Instagram Post Chronicling Life with Her Beloved

When Adam Johnson stepped into the field on October 28, little did he know that it would be his last. While the match against the Sheffield Steelers was seemingly going fine, a harrowing tragedy was waiting for Johnson. Amidst the buzz of over 8000 crowds, a freak accident took place. The blade of a fellow Sheffield player slashed the neck of Johnson. Soon, the medical staff rushed to attend the injured athlete. The players surrounded and guarded Johnson as he received treatment. 

Unfortunately, the wound was fatal and despite the best efforts of the medical team, Johnson did not survive. This incident sent shockwaves through the fans as well as the entire community. As the young athlete breathed his last, his fiancée reminisced about him and sent out a heartfelt message on social media.

In a recent Instagram post, Adam Johnson’s fiancée uploaded several pictures of Johnson. Ryan Wolfe’s carousel started with a picture of the couple exchanging an adorable moment together. Next, there was a video of Johnson driving. The other pictures too, portrayed different moments of togetherness of the couple. In an emotional manner, Wolfe captioned the post, “Thankful for our memories and life together, wish we could’ve had more babe. Missing you so much every single day, love you Adam 🤍”  

Wolfe further posted a picture of their baby with Adam Johnson. The thread ended with a picture of Wolfe showing off her engagement ring. The sentiment of such a heartfelt post echoed with the fans as well. Let’s look at what they had to say.

The untimely passing of Adam Johnson has engulfed everyone in grief. From fans to family members, nobody can still fathom the tragic fact that the 29-year-old is no more.

One of the users commented, “My heart hurts for you… prayers are with you. ❤️”.

With such a tragedy unfolding on the pitch, authorities and referees need to put extra effort into ensuring the maximum safety of the players. After all, we do not want a replay of such a tragic incident ever again.
