It is not just an ordinary dive but a mission. Her mission is to be the oldest skydiver the world has ever seen. A 103-year-old from Sweden holds the record for diving in May 2022 inspiring many. Her name is Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, and she gained a place in the Guinness Book of World Records on May 29, 2022. On the day of the epic dive, she was 103 years and 259 days old.

From postponements to possibilities

It is not just her age that has been posing challenges for her. The dive was scheduled previously but had to get postponed to Friday, September 22. 

But the barriers didn’t end here, as the date had to get rescheduled all over again. Due to rainy weather, the date was again postponed to the end of the week on Sunday, September 24. 

The 104-year-old went skydiving previously as well when she was 100. Her indomitable spirit deserves all the respect. Now her dream is not just to merely plunge from heaven, but to create history. Her dream is like the declaration of the human spirit’s boundless potential.
