The aerial ladder also known as the “iron path” nestled in the Dachstein Mountains, served as a magnet for adventure seekers due to the thrilling experience and the breathtaking view. However, the tragic incident unfolded when the British man attempted to step on the narrow antenna staircase and suffered a deadly fall.

The Hallein Alpine and Abteneau police departments collaborated to provide assistance by sending two helicopter crews and numerous officers. 

Even after making a serious and deliberate effort, the investigation authorities failed in their attempts to retrieve the individual alive. Later on, the officials discovered his body, located deep within one of the crevices underneath the Via Ferrata. While adventure allures climbers, this particular incident poses a sobering reminder about the risks associated with these dangerous endeavors that even make it difficult for rescue operations.
