Before Bianca was injured, she was playing the tennis of her life. At the start of 2019, she won her first Premier Mandatory title at Indian Wells, which was huge. However, her biggest win came in the September of that year when she beat Serena Williams for the US Open title.
All of these achievements led to her reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 4. Due to her long break, she is now at No. 7, which isn’t a huge drop. However, Bianca will still want to rise up in the rankings and the Australian Open is the best opportunity to do it.

If the Canadian star manages to win the Australian Open, she will earn 2000 points. This would put her ahead of Naomi Osaka and make her the new World No. 3. She is clearly training to achieve this and hopefully, she can do it in January.
