Polish driver Robert Kubica is undoubtedly a fan favourite among the fans and they were delighted when he made his full-time Formula One return. Unfortunately, his return was less than triumphant, firstly because the Williams was a horrifically slow car. Soon, his teammate George Russell was practically wiping the floor with him, in spite of Kubica bagging the team’s only point.

Now, the Polish veteran is stuck without an F1 drive, with his 2020 seat taken by Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi. So, the 35-year old is exploring his options outside F1, with his eye on a potential Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters berth. Recently, in a tribute to the Pole, a fan created a video dedicated to Robert Kubica in the style of the classic rock song, Bohemian Rhapsody.

The video referenced his early Formula One years, touched briefly on his accident, and finally his return to F1 with Williams Racing. It even threw a couple of digs at his teammate George Russell, who had been outperforming him throughout the season.

What Next for Robert Kubica?

Interestingly, Kubica may not be completely done with Formula One, as he has been linked to reserve driver roles at either Haas or Racing Point. He told RaceFans, “Of course if in the future I will not be in the paddock then there is very slim chance.”

“If I will be in the paddock everything might happen. But as I say I am keeping my feet on the ground and realistically there is much higher chance that this was last race than I will race again. This is, I think, a realistic overview.”

It is also worth noting that the veteran is also known known for his almighty crash at the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix that destroyed his BMW Sauber. However, a year later, he got his own back by winning the race in an emphatic fashion.
