Shaun White has done the unthinkable by qualifying for his 5th Olympic Games. He came 3rd at the LAAX Open finals on Saturday, thereby sealing his spot on the US Olympic Team.

White didn’t want to leave his qualification to any chance. He went ahead and took the decision to participate in the LAAX Open. This turned out to be a good decision for him because he could maintain his ranking and also increase his points.

White put on quite an impressive performance on Saturday. And he did this, on his very own snowboard from his own brand, ‘WhiteSpace’. Perhaps this made the win even more special.

While Shaun White has qualified for his 5th Olympic Games, he has already revealed that this will be his last Olympic Games. After Beijing 2022, White will finally retire after 20 years of what was a phenomenal career.

White is currently the highest-paid snowboarder in the world. He not only earns hefty from his performances but also garners a good deal of income from his endorsements and sponsors.

Even before its release, White has already brought on the new snowboard to the International stage. During the finals of the LAAX Open, White was seen performing on his new ‘Whitespace’ snowboard.

White’s own little army

White’s new brand got launched on his own website on January 13. The brand is mainly selling snowboarding gear.

White has revealed that all his products have little white strips. This will set them apart from the other brands.

“My dream, or my goal or hope, is to see a group of young boarders and they all have that little white stripe on their base—like my little army,” revealed Shaun White.

White dreams of having his own little army, all of who will proudly own these strips and give their best to the sport.
