“It’s Not Grass Anymore”: Nick Kyrgios Complains About Wimbledon Championships 2021 Surface During Round1 Against Ugo Humbert

Nick Kyrgios, the bad boy of tennis, experienced a bad beat during his first round match at the Wimbledon Championships. The Aussie was playing against Ugo Humbert, as they saw their match get suspended due to a late night curfew. Kyrgios started complaining about the grass court at Wimbledon, as he did not like the speed of the court.
Both players won two sets of the match, before heading into the decider. The fifth set had to be suspended, due to a night curfew. Both players were going neck to neck, at 3-3 in the fifth set, before suspension. The match will resume today, as both players will be looking to start their campaign with a win.

Nick Kyrgios has been known for making several unconventional statements over the course of his tennis career. This year has not been any different.
During a changeover, the Australian was seen complaining to the camera, how poor the grass has become at SW19.

Kyrgios’ year so far
The last tournament that the World No60 played, was the Australian Open in February. Kyrgios had been undergoing treatment for a meniscus injury in his left knee. It was a bold call for the Australian to make his comeback in Grand Slam event.
Kyrgios is playing Ugo Humbert of France, a tough opponent for someone who is making a comeback. The Aussie has a 1-1 head-to-head record with the French national.

The match will resume today, at around noon, as both players will take guard at court 1. The Australian will be looking to go a long way in the tournament, in order to play against Novak Djokovic.
