Even the 50 percent of fans at Wimbledon Championships 2021 have been very loud and surreal in cheering their stars. And now with great excitement, Wimbledon has announced that the Centre Court and No.1 Court will feature 100 percent fans.
Earlier after getting the nod from the government, the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club had confirmed that 100 percent of the crowd will only be allowed for the men’s singles and women’s singles final matches on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. But now as the government further eases restrictions, the AELTC is now allowed to host full capacity crowd at their two flagship courts, the Centre Court and No.1 Court even before the finals.

From when will there be 100% capacity at Wimbledon Championships 2021?
This will come into effect from the quarterfinal stages. Once the fourth round fixtures are dealt with the two stadium courts will operate at full capacity. Centre Court has a capacity of 14,979 whereas the No.1 Court has a capacity of 12,345. This is only acceptable at the two stadium courts and the capacity will remain reduced on other courts.
“Following the successful staging of the first week of The Championships, as agreed with the Government’s Events Research Programme and in consultation with our Local Authority in Merton, the AELTC is pleased to confirm that Centre and No.1 Court will feature 100% capacity crowds for the Quarter-Finals, with Centre Court also at 100% for the Semi-Finals and Finals,” Wimbledon said in its statement.
