In a recent interview, a Las Vegas Aces Star shared her thoughts on what it’s like having Mark Davis as the Aces owner.

A beloved owner of the Aces

The Las Vegas Aces star, Kelsey Plum, played a crucial role in helping her team win the back-to-back WNBA championship. After they secured the 2023 WNBA championship, a video of the team celebrating went viral. In the video, the Aces were seen celebrating their victory and amongst them, the Aces owner, Mark Davis, was also seen joyfully dancing and celebrating with the team. This video of Davis left the fans in awe.

In a recent appearance on ‘The Pat Mcafee Show’, Kelsey Plum talked about what it is like having Davis as the owner of the team. On being asked what it is like having Davis as the owner and if is this what all WNBA is like, Plum responded, “Mark is incredible. So, his investment in us, when it first started, I think people scratched their heads and you know, you look at it now and you see it pay off tremendously.”

“But Markman, he’s a competitor. He’ll text me before games, ‘Just win baby, just win’, he’s yelling at me on the sideline. We’re running back and forth, he’s a competitor, he’s not satisfied, and he’s loved, he’s loved by the people. So, shout out to Mark, great human being. I mean, WNBA owners, I don’t know what everyone’s like, I’ve only played for Vegas, But what I do know is, I wouldn’t wanna be with anybody else, in terms of Mark Davis and his investment in us and he’s growing the league,” Plum added. 

Her words showcase that the Aces have found an owner who’s not just passionate but a driving force behind their success.

The Aces faced off against another super team in the league, the New York Liberty in the championship Finals. As they both clashed in a highly anticipated best-of-five series, the fans were treated to a thrilling matchup.
