The Las Vegas Aces comprises some of the best players in women’s professional basketball. Year after year, they have shown that they know how to get the most out of the allotted cap space. Things are no different for this time around as they have decided to bring back “Ace” Candace Parker for another year.

Recently, two-time WNBA MVP Candace Parker decided to be a part of the Las Vegas Aces by signing a one-year contract. The 37-year-old was able to participate in just 18 games last season due to her foot injury. Interestingly, even after joining forces with the three-time WNBA champion, the Aces still have a whopping $218,585 left in the bank to increase their arsenal.
Apart from Parker, there were four more free agents that the Aces could invest to make themselves more formidable. The list consists of Sydney Colson, Kiah Stokes, Riquna Williams and Cayla George.

At the same time, the defending champions will also be seen in action in the WNBA draft picks. Apparently, they will take part in the second and third rounds of the overall picks. While the Aces will have the eligibility to provide a minimum of $67,249 to their second-round picks, the number will be cut down to $64,154 for their final choice.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces have retained 5 players under very lucrative contracts.

At the head of the table is the Aces’ kingpin A’ja Wilson. The WNBA Finals MVP is one of the five protected veterans and currently receives a salary of $200,000 for 2024. Her teammate and point guard Kelsey Plum receives the exact same status and emoluments.
Next in line is the five-time WNBA All-Star Chelsea Gray, who will receive approximately $196,267 this season. Further, shooting guard Jackie Young is not too far on the list as she will make around $169,950 for her services. Last but not least is the Las Vegas Aces’ unsung hero Alysha Clark. The 2023 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year will grab a handsome figure of $110,000.
The fans can’t wait to see the Aces get back onto the hardwood. The return of the experienced Candace Parker will surely provide a boost to the locker room. It will be interesting to see if Becky Hammond includes any new faces in her invincible squad.
