As the US Open 2023 approaches, tennis fans have taken to Twitter to engage in spirited debates about their dream mixed doubles teams. The excitement is palpable as spectators share their opinions on which combinations of male and female players would make for the most thrilling and formidable pairings on the court that they will be cheering for. Fans paired up Grand Slam champions, rumored couples, and long-time friends.

It is enthralling for fans to be able to voice their opinions on who they are supporting and cheering for. This debate not only allowed them to speak their mind about their dream team but also gave a platform to amazing duos that we would love to see perform on court.

A Twitter page called Relevant Tennis asked fans of the sport about their preferred mixed doubles team for this year at the US Open. As the post started getting engagement, a lot of tennis fans started dropping in their comments and making suggestions.

One of the first comments that came was about a pairing that we all want to see and it was, “Alcaraz and Swiatek”.

Some of the Twitter users also made a suggestion with a sarcastic comment. They added, “Ons and Casper would make the final and still lose”. This comment was targeted at Ruud and Jabeur who have an unwanted reputation of losing Grand Slam finals.

Another user joined the conversation as they suggested Stefanos, and Karolina Muchova play together as a team. Along with the suggestion, they also wrote why they believe this team would be great. It said, “Both talented clay courters. Dream team for me.”

A super excited tennis fan also shared their suggestion with pictures of their favorites. The pictures were of Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz. Along with the photos, the caption said, “THIS IS THE DREAM TEAM, I WANT, YOU WANT, EVERYBODY WANT”.

The debate did not end there as tennis fans continued to drop comments about their dream team.

One of the fans wanted Venus Williams and Rafael Nadal to pair up as well. The tweet said, “They need to pair up before they retire”.

Last but not the least, one of the comments obviously came for the lovebirds to be seen together. The Twitter user commented Stefanos and Paula to be paired up. This suggestion came across over and over again as the two were supposed to play in the mixed doubles in Wimbledon but unfortunately withdrew due to an injury to the Spaniard.

After the two tennis players revealed their relationship, their fans have wanted them to play on the court as a team. They haven’t had a chance to team up together and take their relationship to a professional level as of now. They were supposed to play as a team in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon.

But that could not happen because of an unfortunate injury that Paula Badosa had to face. Due to the injury, she had to walk away from her journey at Wimbledon and so the two were not seen on the court. Would things be different for them at the US Open?
