For three years, Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic lived out a fairytale romance! But unlike other fairy tales, their narrative had a gloomy ending. They were one of the most popular couples in the tennis world, and they even shared about their romance on the Netflix tennis documentary series. Even after displaying love on the big screen, the Australian tennis player is single once again. Taking a page from her painful past, she shared a word of caution for tennis’ newest lovebirds, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Recently, the 30-year-old tennis player shared her 2022 tennis journey, starting from defeating Serena Williams at the US Open to giving a little insight into her love life. Let’s take a look at what the Aussie had to say about displaying her affection for her ex-boyfriend in front of the world.

The shooting of ‘BreakPoint’ season 2 is under discussion, and there have been rumors that the Greek tennis player and his girlfriend might be a part of it. Amid such rumors, the 41-year-old Serena Williams’ US Open slayer, Ajla Tomljanovic, openly shared about her romantic relationship in the first part of the series.

During the second part, the 30-year-old faced a lot of difficulties as she was no longer with her Italian boyfriend. Recently, the Aussie, in an interview with Tennis.com, talked about how tennis couples should think before taking their romance public. She clarified that “I’m not saying, “Don’t do it”.

But, she issued a warning regarding how that decision might require thinking before going for it. She said, “But from my experience, I would maybe think twice.”

While Serena Williams’ US Open slayer suffered from her breakup during the second season shoot, her ex-boyfriend, on the other hand, had already gotten into another relationship.

Not only that, as Tomljanovic warned other tennis couples to think twice before bringing their relationship in front of the camera, it was not easy for her to shoot together after their breakup. After the second part of the Netflix docuseries was released, Matteo Berrettini revealed how things were a little odd when he met his ex-girlfriend.

Tomljanovic and Berrettini faced an odd moment after the breakup 

Before the shooting of the second part even started, both of them had parted ways with mutual understanding. But, it was not easy for Tomljanovic to be on normal terms with her ex-boyfriend, with whom she shared her personal life in front of the camera.

Last year, in an interview with Style magazine, Berrettini highlighted how seeing each other again after a breakup is quite strange. As in the series, the real scenario was kept quite clear, but somewhere down the line, he was happy with how he was represented in the second part, irrelevant to what happened in his personal life.
