The TGL Golf tournament, founded by the legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, will debut in January 2024. In TGL, only the best among the best will participate, and players will be segregated into teams for the first time in history. Ohanian has invested in team Los Angeles and can’t wait to see how they perform.

The official Instagram handle of TGL Golf shared a reel in which the former world number one golfer talks about the tournament. Ohanian took this reel to his Instagram story and captioned it, “Get ready. @wearelagc coming in hot in JANUARY.”

Even before its inception, TGL has filled the air with eagerness. The big names, including sports legends and business magnates, are only building up the hype. In the sports arena, Ohanian and the American sports legends are the first to acquire a TGL team.

When TGL was first announced, the LA team was sold to the founder of the Los Angeles Golf Club. Though Ohanian is the primary stakeholder, Serena and Venus Williams have also invested in the team. When the tech entrepreneur acquired TGL, he also announced the youngest two-team owner of sports, Olympia Ohanian. The 5-year-old is the LA Golf Club co-owner, and the TGL tournament’s beginning means more participation from America’s most influential family. Ohanian also announced that Olympia would be joined by her sibling, Adira, a month after Serena announced her pregnancy.

However, convincing Serena was not easy for Ohanian. The 23-time Grand Slam winner only agreed to come aboard after learning the innovative virtual theme of the tournament. With Serena on board, Queen Vee, too, became a part of it as the sisters do things together. Are you excited to see the tennis and golf legends in one place?
