20-Year-Old British Star Emma Raducanu’s Stalker Launches Fresh Request to Skip 200 Hours of ‘Unpaid Work’

British tennis star Emma Raducanu is going through a tough phase in her career. The 20-year-old surprised everyone with a title run in the 2021 US Open. However, a major part of her 2022 was full of injury breaks and her performance in patches was forgettable. While she achieved her career’s greatest feat, the Briton has a scary stalking experience. Although the culprit got his due punishment, he has recently appealed for a revocation of his sentence. Here’s what happened.
The Stalker of Emma Raducanu wants his sentence changed
Back in November 2021, Emma Raducanu reported a complaint about a person who reportedly stalked her. As per reports, 36-year-old Amrit Magar walked 23 miles and stole her father’s shoe from the door. While the accused picked up the shoe, thinking it was Emma’s shoe, he left a map describing his journey.

Later, the accused got a five-year restraining order and an 18-month community order, which included 200 hours of unpaid work and an eight-week curfew. However, as per the recent report from The Sun, the accused has submitted documents to scrap community service. Magar wants the order revoked on medical grounds. While there’s no update about the final decision from the magistrate, it will be interesting to see what happens next.
