American WTA star Taylor Townsend is always brimming with joy when she is with her “twin.” From earning a Grand Slam title to honoring her promise to enjoying the off-season as a devoted mother, this WTA star has shown an intense commitment to her adorable son, Adyn. While balancing her roles as a single mother and a professional athlete often makes life hectic, Townsend still prioritizes her son above everything else. Recently, she shared an adorable bonding moment with her son, showcasing her efforts to encourage professionalism in him while embracing her role as a loving mother.

Although she admitted that striking this balance is a tough job, Townsend explained how this significant role changed her perspectives. “I think like being a parent makes you want to pull your hair out (laughter). I think it’s more so, like, learning and understanding when to push. Basically to understand that most of the time, like, you want to be in control but you’re not in control, so you can control what you can, and what you can’t you got to let go,” she said. Now, this American athlete is dropping major motherhood goals for her followers by teaching her son Adyn an activity that oozes her professionalism and also reflects her doting mom personality.

This 2024 Wimbledon doubles champion shared a story on her IG platform where she was teaching her baby boy boxing with a punching bag-like inflatable bop toy. Townsend was spotted holding the toy straight by placing one of her feet on it so that her son could use all his force to punch it. At one point, Adyn fell down and Townsend dropped an enthusiastic motherly reaction by saying, “Oh! Oh my god!” However, she didn’t let her son give up. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Townsend’s son quickly got up and punched the bag while his mother motivated him by saying, “Come on! tackle it. Take it down. Take him out, Take him out.” Inspired by his mother’s motivational cheer, Adyn finally overpowered his punching toy and showed that he is high-spirited just like his talented mother. The story was captioned as “Boy momming be like…” While the scene was adorable showing off mother-son bonding, it also reflected how Taylor Townsend aims to teach her son one of the most important lessons of professionalism: not giving up until he wins!
