Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and Serena Williams’ husband, certainly does not shy away from expressing his love for his wife, the 23-time Grand Slam champ. In March last year, he revealed that he had the world’s largest vintage rookie card collection of Serena Williams. He’s also been investing in Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) for his wife.

After showing off the SerenaPunk gifted to Serena by him at last year’s Met Gala, Ohanian has now added a new NFT to her wife’s collection. This time, it’s a pink ape.

Williams, on Monday, 20th January, took to Twitter and posted the photo of her new NFT and captioned it ‘GM.’ Her new NFT is a pink ape with a crying face. 

Alexis took no time in replying to that. Within 40 mins, Alexis had his reply ready on the tweet. He wrote, “First I get you the SerenaPunk, now I get the pink ape you wanted… you realize I’m only gifting you NFTs from now on right?”  

Earlier, when NFTs weren’t as popular as they are now, Serena had said that Alexis could’ve just gotten her “some jewelry.” Well, now it looks like he’s going to be sticking with these for a while.

Interestingly, in an interaction with a fan beneath Serena’s post, Alexis revealed that he has a special collection for their adorable daughter, Olympia as well.

The former World No. 1 last played at 2021 Wimbledon, retiring in the first round match due to an injury. While speculations of her playing the Australian Open Often were building up before the tournament, fans will have to wait longer to see the 7 time champion back in Melbourne.

Williams is often training and in practice, sometimes with her daughter. However, the tennis world still awaits official news of a comeback by the 23-time Grand-Slam champion.
