Aryna Sabalenka, the Belarusian tennis professional, is all set to play for the season-opening major at Melbourne. In the penultimate clash, she got the better of Magda Linette and set up the finale with the 2022 Wimbledon champion, Elena Rybakina. Also, with the semifinal win, the World No.5 has achieved her best performance in the Grand Slams to date, as the Belarusian tennis star has struggled to get past the semi-final on previous occasions.
As Sabalenka looks forward to scaling the last hurdle to claim her first Grand Slam, let’s take a look at the people behind her successful career. The 24-year-old tennis star was just 6 years old when her father took her to the tennis court for the first-time. And since then, neither her family nor the tennis star have looked back. Moreover, her family has been her pillar throughout her tenacious journey.

The current World No.5 visited the courts for the first time with her father, Sergey Sabalenka. Sergey himself was an ice hockey player until he was 19. However, he could not continue further due to his involvement in a car accident. Post the traumatic period, Sergey took to ice only for the amateur games. Although Aryna’s mother, Yulia Sabalenka, is relatively unknown to tennis fans, Yulia certainly stood by the Belarusian beauty, as she aimed for the top spot in the tennis circuit.
The World No. 5 has been open about her tennis journey; which began with her father driving by the tennis court, which fascinated the toddler. Consequently, she was introduced to sports.

She now has her sister Tonechka Sabalenka and mother to support her, as she is looking to secure her 1st major trophy.
In addition to the family and tennis fans, Sabalenka also has her partner, Konstantin Koltsov, to support her through one of the most important matches of her career.
