One of Canada’s most promising talents, Eugenie Bouchard, took the world by storm with her performances during the 2014 season. During her career so far, there have been a number of coaches who have guided the Canadian star. However, in recent years, Eugenie has switched camps rapidly.
In 2020, Bouchard appointed coach Rennae Stubbs, a former Australian tennis player. The 49-year-old coach helped re-surge the Canadian tennis player’s career. Under her guidance, Genie reached her first WTA final after a period of four years and the third round of a Grand Slam, which was her best result in recent years.

After changing a number of coaches, Eugenie has found stability under the Australian coach’s guidance. The pair clicked instantly and Rennae has inserted newfound energy in the 27-year-old player’s game. Prior to Bouchard, Stubbs coached Karolina Pliskova and former Grand Slam winner Samantha Stosur.
During her breakthrough season in 2014, Bouchard was coached by Nick Saviano. The pair worked together as a team for eight years, and it was under his guidance where the Canadian player enjoyed her most successes. Nick himself was a former tennis player based in America.

In 2015, Eugenie was coached by Frenchman Sam Sumyk for a short stint of seven months. In 2016, Bouchard worked with Thomas Hogstedt in the initial part of the season. Later, she teamed up with Nick Saviano for the second time, but their association didn’t last long. The period from 2015 onwards has been disappointing as far as results were concerned for the Canadian.
Towards the end of the 2018 season, Eugenie decided to train under the leadership of Michael Joyce, who helped her win a maiden doubles title at the ASB Classic in Auckland. Their partnership ended mutually, and she joined hands with Jorge Todero in July 2019, which didn’t go on for long.
