Iga Swiatek rose to the top in 2022 with her astounding gameplay. The early retirement of a former world no. 1 Ashleigh Barty has facilitated the improvement in ranking to be the world no. 1. Moreover, coming from a country where there has not been a lot of focus on tennis, she has worked diligently and trained regularly. Recently, she talked about how she would go about training now with her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski.

Iga Swiatek made a name for herself by continuing her winning streak alive. She won the Qatar Open and went on to win the Indian Wells. And defeated Naomi Osaka in the finals of the Miami Open to come out victorious. Moreover, Iga Swiatek continued her victorious streak alive and won the Stuttgart Open as well. After that, the 20-year-old took a break from tennis and focused on her recovery. She is now back at the Italian Open and discussed the approach she is going to take to win the further matches.

Iga working on a new technique with Tomasz

We know Iga Swiatek for her strong and aggressive gameplay, which helps her in dominating the opponent and taking control of the game. However, the young tennis star revealed, “In the first tournaments with Tomasz, I changed more on attitude and became more aggressive. Now that we have consolidated the work, we can also start to do something new on technique”.  She is swift across the court as well, which makes it possible to tackle the strokes. Furthermore, the Polish player will now be focusing on a new technique and we are excited to see what is it that she would bring to the court.

Iga Swiatek on clay

Iga Swiatek had been on a break after the Stuttgart Open. She was focusing on recovering from injuries that she could not ignore at that moment. Fortunately, the Polish player is back and the anticipation around her comeback is high. Moreover, everybody is excited to see the player on the clay.
