‘Can’t Believe I Remembered All My Lines’- American Tennis Legend Surprised at Her Acting Prowess As She Reminisces Memories From Decades Old Commercial

Recently, the world mourned the loss of the celebrated music composer, Burt Bacharach. Bacharach, in his magnanimous life, created many memorable memories across different fields; including the one with the American tennis legend, Chris Evert. Unsurprisingly, Evert distinctly remembers the memories with Bacharach. However, she was astounded by a particular fact, as she recalled one of her earliest memories with the music composer.

Back in her heyday, the 18-time Grand Slam champion was featured in a commercial with Bacharach. And recently, when a fan shared the same commercial, Evert was taken aback by the fact that she could remember all her content.

What was the commercial that Evert and Bacharach featured in?

Chris Evert remembers a fond memory with the legendary music composer

Back in the ‘70s, when the 18-time Grand Slam champion was just 18 years old, Bacharach and Evert featured in a commercial; shot in Shangri-La. In the commercial, we could see the two legends playing tennis, while Bacharach asks young Evert about her experience at Shangri-La.

Recently, a fan tweeted the video of Chris playing with the music composer. Responding to the tweet, the Ice Maiden was surprised at the fact that she was able to narrate the who commercial, without stuttering. She said, “Omg! 50 yrs ago! In the ’70s! I remember this! He was such a gentleman and loved tennis… I can’t believe I remembered all my lines!”

Though it may not have surprised the legions of tennis fans, given her clever gameplay; such a task might have come easily to her.

Moreover, Evert expressed her heartfelt wishes for the demise of the famous composer.

According to the American tennis legend, Burt Bacharach was the best music composer ever. And dominating the era of the Cold War with his music, Bacharach was awarded 3 Academy awards, 6 Grammy awards, and one Emmy. Certainly, the most celebrated one too.

Moreover, Evert loved his music, as she opened up while paying tribute to the legendary music composer. She wrote on Twitter, “He was the best music composer in many eras! Loved his music / him as well…. RIP.” As she mourned the passing away of the 94-year-old.
