Patrick Mouratoglou impressed with Serena Williams’ career
The Frenchman Patrick Mouratoglou has been coaching Serena Williams since 2012. Williams has won ten Grand Slam titles under his guidance.
In an interview with AFP, Patrick Mouratoglou lauded Serena for everything she has done for the tennis world. On Serena, he said, “She also brought the business to women’s tennis. Before her, the business was very small and with her it became huge because she has such an aura, she has become such a marketing object, too, that huge contracts are possible for the players.”

Williams injury update
Serena started the 2021 season brightly at the Australian Open. She reached the semi-finals of the Slam, where she unfortunately lost to Naomi Osaka.

Her season was cut short in June 2021 when Serena Williams sustained a hamstring injury. At Wimbledon 2021, the American was forced to retire in the first round against Aliaksandra Sasnovich. Furthermore, she announced that she won’t be competing at US Open just weeks before the competition. It’s still uncertain whether Serena will play for the remainder of the season.
