Aryna Sabalenka is giving some praise-worthy performances on the court this year. This eventually makes her want to perform more and clinch more titles. However, after last year’s ban on Russian and Belarusian players because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, she could not take part in a few important events. But despite the ban being lifted, Sabalenka is caught in a difficult situation this year. After missing out on last year’s Wimbledon, this year’s Australian Open champion wants to be at the revered SW19.

However, the lack of confirmation is still keeping her on edge. With her astounding performance both during the hard-court and clay-court seasons, Sabalenka is hoping to outperform people’s expectations at Wimbledon too. But will she get a chance to do so?

The Belarusian player faced a setback last year. She could not take part in the Championships because of the ban imposed by Wimbledon. However, this year, despite the grass-court major allowing Russian and Belarusian players to take part, Sabalenka is caught in a concerning situation.

In a recent fan interaction through Instagram, a fan asked if she is looking forward to competing at Wimbledon this year. To this, Sabalenka gave a worried answer and stated, “Still didn’t get my visa to be approved…” This means that there is no confirmation yet from her end about her participation at SW19.

Earlier, Sabalenka had expressed her “helplessness” before Wimbledon revamped its ban on Russian and Belarusian players. However, now that she is free from that “helpless” stance, she is still facing struggles because of her visa.
