American tennis star, Serena Williams, has touched the sky during her enormous tennis career. She has faced both ups and down during her two-decades-long tennis career. However, Serena Williams’ 2013 season is regarded as one of the best in tennis history. The former American tennis coach sarcastically remarked about Williams being a complete player without a coach.

Nevertheless, eleven years later, Williams left the sport earlier this year with 23 major championships to her credit. In front of her home audience, the tennis star performed the Last Dance at the US Open this year.

The American coach talked about how few tennis players run towards that coach whenever they are in a problem rather than finding a solution. He said, “Some (players) just complain and get angry, or give up–that’s the case of many players. And some others call their coach whenever they get broken: ‘Oh, I need my coach!’”

Further, he added that her ability in Serena of resolving her own problem made her a hundred percent worthy of her successful career run at the age of 32. He said, “Come on, you don’t need your coach every time you’re broken. You have to think what you should do and look for a solution, and this is something that Serena really has in herself.”

Williams’ successful 2013 tennis season

The tennis pro enjoyed a fantastic tennis season at the age of 32. The former world number one won 11 titles in 2013, including two Grand Slam competitions, the US Open, and the French Open. Not only that, but when she returned to the WTA scene that year, she was regarded as the finest since Martina Hingis in 1997 and won the season-ending WTA Finals championship.
