The seven-time Grand Slam champion while addressing the press spoke about the benchmark Serena Williams has set and how she broke the norms. He advocated that coming from a well-off family and having every little thing being taken care of isn’t important. McEnroe, in consideration of Williams’ career, said, “I’m praying that this opens the door for all people that a lot of whom can’t afford it. It’s the one percent.”

However, the legend keeping true to her status took down one of the potential contenders. Williams got the better of World No.2 at the second seed of the event. She, at the expense of the second set, advanced to the round of 32.
What’s ahead for Williams?
The former World No.1 is about to start the second set of her life. After dedicating over 25 years to professional tennis, she will now divert her energy toward other things.
