‘Hit His B**T…’ – Chris Evert Reminisced a Hilarious Incident When Former President George H.W. Bush Got Bruised by a Russian Tennis Player

It was the year 2006. The former President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, was present at the Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic at Delray Beach. Subsequently, he played a match with the Russian tennis player, Anna Kournikova, in the charity event.
However, it turned out to be a forgettable outing for the former President, who got hit by a ball on his back by Kournikova. In 2013, Evert recounted the incident.

A few years after the incident took place, Evert took to Twitter to recount the hilarious incident. She said, “@scottkfoley @fleurtywhitney @georgehwbush Scott, remember when Anna Kournikova served a ball and hit his butt? He had a bruise for days!”
Further, she added, “@ChrissieEvert @scottkfoley @fleurtywhitney @georgehwbush Jim Courier, our umpire, announced,” Anna, the Cold War is over”!!!!”

The Chris Evert Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic at Delray Beach is an annual event. Every year, well-known personalities take part to raise money for charity. The money raised helps from at-risk families throughout Florida.

Further, Evert has been a legend on and off the court. After retiring from her illustrious tennis career, she has focused on commentary and organizing various charity events.
Ajla Tomljanovic all praise for Evert
The Australian tennis star heaped praise on Evert for constantly motivating her during Wimbledon, even when the latter was fighting her cancer battle. She said, “She texted me before the match that she believes in me & that I need to believe I belong here. It’s surreal. Chris Evert is calling me after I made the 1/4s. To me, she’s just Chrissie. I’m v blessed to have her.”

Earlier this year, Evert was diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer. The American legend has completed her sixth and final chemotherapy session to treat this disease. Subsequently, she thanked everyone for their support during such tough times.
