‘Hopefully Soon’: Serena Williams Talks About Having Another Baby

Arguably the greatest tennis player ever, Serena Williams has been away from the tennis courts since Wimbledon last year. After suffering a hamstring injury in the first round of the Wimbledon Championships, the American hasn’t played a single match. She also missed the Australian Open at the start of this season as she is still recovering.

In a recent interview with ET, the doting mother to Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. talked about having more kids in the future.

Serena Williams wants to have more kids in the future

In September 2017, Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian welcomed their baby daughter Olympia. Since then, Serena has been loving motherhood and also playing professional tennis. 

In the recent interview with ET, Serena revealed that she would love to have more kids but is unable to figure out the right timing for it.

“I definitely want to have more kids, it’s just like, balance is key, you know, and just trying to find that balance, I don’t know, it’s always like, OK, are we ready? And I know the clock is ticking so I’m just like OK, I need to figure out when that’s going to be, but hopefully soon when I will feel no pressure,” Serena said about having another baby.

In the same interview, Serena also talked about her retirement plans and how she will handle the situation.

“I am prepared for that day, I’ve been prepared for that day for over a decade… I always had a plan,” Serena elaborated on her retirement plan.

However, before retiring, 40-year-old Serena would definitely like to win one more Grand Slam. Since 2017, she has been trying to catch Margaret Court’s record of 24-Grand Slam titles. That will be on her mind for sure, as she plans her retirement.
