American tennis was flying high in the 80s and the 90s, thanks to the likes of Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. The two won the bulk of the big titles, putting on audacious displays on the tennis court. Additionally, the two were an integral part of the United States’ Fed Cup Team, helping the nation win multiple titles.

In June 2008, Evert married Greg Norman in a lavish ceremony. However, their relationship didn’t last long as they announced a split after 18 months. Norman’s ex-wife, Laura Andrassy, once slammed Chris Evert.

During an interview, Norman’s ex-wife reacted to the high-profile split between Norman and Evert. She said, “Oh man. I have heard it all now (laughs). It is a surprise to me, I had no idea, I have just found out this morning. I have not been too involved in it. Well, it didn’t come as a surprise. So soon was the surprise.”

Further, she added, “I think we all knew. We didn’t have high hopes for it. But they had been telling everyone how much in love they were, so everybody thought it would last a little longer than this. I said to Andy (Mill – Chris Evert’s ex-husband) when I spoke to him today, `It’s like a bad movie – and we’re in it!’.”
