Serena Williams’ rise to the top has been nothing short of a fairy-tale. Taking tennis at a very young age, her father, Richard Williams, trained Serena during her initial years. Her first Grand Slam title was at the US Open in 1999 at the mere age of 17.

Since then, the American star has gone on to win 22 major titles more, taking her tally to 23 Grand Slam singles titles. It is the most in the Open Era and is just a major title away from equaling Margaret Court’s record of 24 Grand Slam titles.

Adding a golden lining to her already illustrious career, the American also has four Olympic gold medals to her credit; one in singles and three with her elder sister, Venus Williams. Despite the fact that Serena has faced a number of career-threatening injuries, she has always come back strongly and dominated her opponents.

Currently, the American star is on the sidelines, recovering from an injury she sustained last year at the Wimbledon Championships. Living life to the fullest regardless, recently, the 40-year-old walked the ramp at the Paris Fashion Week. Immensely proud, her husband, Alexis Ohanian, posted a video of the same on Twitter.

Serena paid tribute to the late Virgil Abloh by hitting the catwalk for Off-White. Virgil Abloh, who was the founder of Off-White, passed away last year after a three-year battle with a rare aggressive cancer, at 41. Further, Serena’s husband took to Twitter, saying, “Let’s go, Mama,” as he tweeted a video of Serena walking the ramp.
