Recently, while wishing a new year to the world, Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, had reserved his special love for the 23-time Grand Slam winner’s fans, aka, ‘RenasArmy’ (as he puts it).
Serena Williams’ huge tennis fan base receives special love from her husband
On New Year’s Eve, one of the Williams’ fans tweeted their favorite picture of the year. The picture was imperatively memorable, as it was from the retirement of the 23-time grand Slam champion in a sold-out stadium. The fan tweeted, “Easily my favorite picture of the year. 💯”
In response to this, the Reddit Co-founder tweeted, “I love #RenasArmy – hope you all have a great new year”
Subsequently, this prompted many heart-warming responses from #RenasArmy. One fan proudly flaunted being a part of the fan base since the Serena turned professional, and said “Member since she turned a pro :)”
