Caroline Wozniacki recently joined the Tennis Channel for the month of March as one of their official commentators for the BNP Paribas Open and the Miami Open. Listening to Caroline on the Tennis Channel, tennis great Monica Seles went all heart for the player. Even though Seles switched to the platform for the match. However, it was Caroline Wozniacki, Pam Shriver, and Lindsay Davenport’s commentary that grabbed her attention.

Pam Shriver and Lindsay Davenport have been long-time commentators on the Tennis Channel. However, what amused Monica Seles was the joining of Caroline Wozniacki. The former World No. 1 joined the pioneer tennis streaming platform for the Indian Wells and the Miami Open. Expressing her happiness seeing Wozniacki with Pam and Lindsay, Monica Seles took her Twitter, putting a tweet.

Hearing Caroline commentate along with Pam Shriver and Linday Davenport, Seles wrote on her Twitter, “Watching the BNP Paribas Indian Wells tournament on Tennis channel. Enjoying tonight’s commentating by Pam, Lindsey and Caroline. 3 amazing women. Happy to hear that Caroline has joined Tennis channel.”

Caroline joined the commentating team of Tennis Channel for the ‘Sunshine Doubles’. The Danish player will team up with tennis greats Martina Navratilova, Jim Courier, Tracy Austin, Andy Roddick, amongst others to give analytical insights into the game.

Expressing her thoughts on her joining the platform, Wozniacki said, “I can’t wait to join the team at Tennis Channel in Indian Wells and Miami.” “This is one of my favorite times of the tennis season and I have great memories at both tournaments,” she further added.

Caroline Wozniacki at the Sunshine Doubles

As said by her, Caroline Wozniacki has a memorable past at the Indian Wells and the Miami Masters. Caroline first played at the Indian Wells in 2007. Entering the tournament as a wildcard, the then World No. 138 won her first round with ease. However, faced a second-round exit against the 3rd seeded Martina Hingis. On the other hand, she made her Miami debut in 2008, reaching the fourth round.

Even though Wozniacki showed decent performances in both tournaments in the initial years, she failed to win the title. In 2010, she reached the finals of Indian Wells. However, her dream run came to half as she was defeated by the 6th seeded Jelena Jankovic in the finals. However, Caroline didn’t look to give up.

In 2011, Caroline again reached the finals of Indian Wells. Being the top-seeded player, Caroline sailed through the initial rounds to set up a final clash with 15th seeded Marion Bartoli. However, not willing to repeat history, Wozniacki showed no mercy, as she went on to win her maiden Indian Wells title in three sets.
Apart from 2010, Wozniacki also finished as a runner-up in 2013 at the Indian Wells. On the other hand, her best result at Miami was being the runner-up in 2017.
