The 2021 season got off to a great start with the successful completion of the Australian Open 2021. However, it was just the start and fans will witness some really exciting tennis in the upcoming months as well. The WTA has announced the Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart once again. Interestingly, World No.2 Naomi Osaka might also play there.
The WTA Stuttgart Open couldn’t take place last season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Even though the conditions are really tough this year as well, tournament director Markus Günthardt believes that the management can successfully hold the tournament this time.
“Organizing an event like the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in these times is a great challenge for everyone involved,” began Günthardt. “But we are making every effort to enable the tournament to be held and not only attract the tennis fans to return a piece of normalcy.”

Naomi Osaka, Ashleigh Barty, and Angelique Kerber will most likely make the tournament more exhilarating
The tournament will surely attract a large number of viewers since organizers are planning to have Australian Open 2021 winner Naomi Osaka at the tournament. World No.1 Ashleigh Barty is also on the list of the management.
Apart from them, the organizers also want former World No.1, Angelique Kerber, to play at the tournament as the homegrown attraction. Kerber has already won the event twice in 2015 and 2016.
